A difficult day of writing today.  Motivation and energy were absent and I was afflicted with an ailment I’m sure is common during NaNoWriMo: a sudden, overwhelming desire to work on something else.  Not really by any failing of the novel I’m writing at the moment, the other idea just gripped me, and I ended up having to write some scene notes down for it before forcing my attention on my current novel.

Despite that, I managed to reach my required 2,800 words yesterday and today, though today’s work was largely filler.  I know that the next real event of the novel is a major turning point in the story, but it seems early for it to be occurring already, and having it happen now with nothing in between makes it feel a bit rushed.

But, I rushed some other parts already, and I don’t know what else to fill 2,800 words with besides, so I think I’m going to have to let things move along tomorrow.
